Takara Holdings Inc. celebrates the 100th anniversary of its founding on September 15th, 2025.
We are deeply grateful to our shareholders, business partners, and those who purchase and consume our products for having supported and patronized us over these many years. We also greatly appreciate the efforts of our predecessors for their long commitment to developing our business.
Together, they have enabled us to reach this major milestone of our 100th anniversary.

Takara Shuzo was founded in 1925, and our century-long journey since that time has at times presented challenges. Throughout the many upheavals of history over that period, we have experienced the occasional failure. However, by continuing to take on new challenges without giving up, we have successfully developed into a corporate group that now operates three business segments (Domestic, Overseas, and Biotechnology), with overseas net sales now comprising approximately 60 percent of total sales.

However, this 100th anniversary is only one milestone in our journey.
These days, we live in an era marked by uncertainty, one in which the future appears murky and forecasting is difficult. Nevertheless, the Takara Group remains committed to meeting the challenge of evolving in accordance with our corporate philosophy of “Contributing to the creation of a vital society and a healthy lifestyle through our fermentation technology and biotechnology in a way that achieves harmony with nature.” By generating societal value through our business operations, we aim to contribute to the emergence of a society committed to sustainability as we strive to engender trust in our corporate group.
